Africana Studies 100% Engagement Awards for African American History Tour

Summer Program in Atlanta, Selma, and Birmingham

Who Can Apply?: 

The Africana Studies Program offers 10 competitive awards of $500 each to Africana Studies majors and minors to attend the one week summer African American History Tour. Required: minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; 1 statement of intent (1-2 pages); 1 unofficial copy of transcripts; 2 letters of recommendation from supporting faculty members; must be a declared major or minor in Africana Studies at the time of application; recipients must use the award in the pre-session 2015. Please submit statement of intent, transcripts, and letters of recommendation no later than April 15, 2015, 4pm, to Ms. Marcela Thompson (marcelathompson@email.arizona.edu). Awards will be paid duing the first week of June 2015.
