Professor
David N. Gibbs is professor of history at the University of Arizona, who specializes in sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, and US domestic politics. His publications on Africa have encompassed Mauritania, Somalia, Mali, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. His articles have appeared in Journal of Modern African Studies, African Studies Review, Review of African Political Economy, and African Affairs. His third book is forthcoming in May 2024, entitled: Revolt of the Rich: How Politics in the 1970s Widened America’s Class Divide.
