Africa Table Speaker Series

When
11:45 a.m., Sept. 16, 2021 to April 29, 2022

The Africa Table Speaker Series is a monthly colloquy and a platform for community interaction
of people studying Africa or working in Africa. This community includes students, faculty,
and staff at the University of Arizona, and the members of the Tucson community. The recent
advances in digital technologies that popularized virtual meetings have ensured that anyone
anywhere in the world can participate in the series either as a speaker or as an audience
member. The series give speakers the opportunity to share their work on Africa with an audience
that have mutual research interest in the continent. We believe that with the exchange of
information and building a diverse community of scholars focused on topics related to Africa,
we can leverage our unique experiences to learn from each other and productively engage with
topics about Africa.

If you are interested in participating or becoming a speaker, please feel free to send an email to Dr. Bayo Ijagbemi at ijagbemi@email.arizona.edu.
