Are Scarface, Do the Right Thing, and Django Unchained hip-hop films? Why or why not? What is a hip-hop film? What makes a film a hip-hop film?

Join us for presentations by Honors-College studentsAmanda Martinez, Senovia Quihuis, Alexa Rosenblum, Thomas Wicker, and Mario Ziccarelli. These student speakers are completing Honors contracts in Prof. Alain-Philippe Durand’s FREN/AFAS 373 US & Francophone Hip-Hop Cultures and in Prof. Tani Sanchez’s AFAS 371 Hip-Hop Cinema in the fall 2013.
