This event is a public-facing program designed to engage the community in celebrating Africana foodways, culture, and film through a film screening,  interactive panel discussion, and games. This event aligns with the university's goals by fostering student recruitment and retention through dynamic engagement with Africana Studies. It also serves as an outreach initiative to strengthen university-community connections, highlighting the relevance and vibrancy of Africana Studies. By integrating academic discourse with cultural celebration, this event supports collaboration between students, faculty, and community members, promoting research and dialogue on Africana traditions.
