Africana Studies Faculty Promoted

One professor in the Africana Studies Program has been promoted, demonstrating excellent performance in teaching, service and research.

 

Dr. Erika Gault is promoted from Assistant Professor to tenured Associate Professor.

 

Gault earned a Ph.D. in American Studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her scholarly work focuses on the intersection of religious history, technology, and urban black life in post-industrial America. On the topic of hip hop, religion, and digital ethnography she has delivered and published a number of papers regionally, nationally, and internationally. She is an ordained elder at Elim Christian Fellowship and an award winning slam poet.
