Africana Studies Professor Featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education

Dr. Bryan Carter, Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at the University of Arizona, was recently featured in The Chronicle of Higher Education for his work in digital humanities. Dr. Carter has been teaching students about the Harlem Renaissance since 2005 through Second Life. At UA, Dr. Carter teaches AFAS 160D1 Introduction to African American Literature, AFAS 200 Africana Studies, and AFAS 421 Topics in Africana Studies: African Americans in Paris. In the fall 2013, students enrolled in AFAS 421 may earn one extra unit under AFAS 499 and go to Paris, France over the Thanksgiving Break with Dr. Carter.
