MUS 201/401/501: Section 008 (Small Coached Ensemble)

This ensemble will be dedicated to learning the mbira tradition associated with the Shona people of Zimbabwe. It will include playing the mbira dzavadzimu and hosho, singing, and dancing, as well as understanding the cultural contexts and purposes of the musicking. The first meeting will take place on Thursday, 01/12/16.
