Open Position: Assistant Professor of Africana Studies, Tenure-Track

The Africana Studies Program at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor beginning on August 17, 2015, with an expertise in African American history. Applicants must hold PhD by August 1, 2015. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester. Previous online teaching experience is preferred along with using multimedia technology in the classroom and interest in digital humanities. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2014. Preliminary interviews conducted at the AHA annual meeting in New York City on January 2-5, 2015.
