Affiliated Professor of Africana Studies Geta Leseur was recently interviewed by Ted Simons on the TV show Arizona Horizon for her book Not all Okies are White: The Lives of Black Cotton Pickers in Arizona.

Published in 2000, Prof. Leseur's book has never been out of print and continues to be a good seller for the University of Missouri Press. It also gathered a lot of extra energy and interest this spring in the Phoenix area. Prof. Leseur gave talks in Tempe, Gilbert, and Glendale, AZ. She was a Black History Month keynote speaker at the Glendale Community College. She will also present in Casa Grande later this month. Three of her talks are sponsored by the Arizona Humanities Council.
