Graduating from COH has left me forever curious and taught me there is always more I can do.
Currently I’m a birth Justice organizer in Seattle, WA for a reproductive Justice organization. I focus on supporting Medicaid reimbursements for birth doulas in WA state and supporting a Black Perinatal health campaign. My degree in Africana studies laid the foundational pieces of working in a Black-led organization that centers Queer, Black Feminist teachings. Joining the College of Humanities led me to a path of liberation work within myself and within the communities I reside in. I am forever grateful for the worldview and experiences I gained from the professors and curriculum. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career or in the life long learning process.
